[Food Review]: Shebeen, Melbourne

Want literally life-changing food? A place where you can scoff your face with delicious grub and feel good about it afterwards?

Enter Shebeen: a delightful mix of great food, pleasing aesthetics and refreshing company policy.

The Food: The menu is a ‘mish-mash’ of cultures, as they put it themselves. Choose from superfood salads, vietnamese bahn mi rolls and trios of mini sliders (my recommendation – thank me later).

The Feel Good Factor: 100% of Shebeen’s profits go to the developing world – and it’s your choice at the bar where that money ends up! “Every beer, wine, cider and margarita sale sends funds back to that drink’s country of origin. We’ve made sure your money ends up in the right pockets by scouring the globe to find some of the smartest organisations tackling poverty in the developing world”. For more information on the individual charities and what they do, you can visit their website here.

The Address: 36 Manchester Lane, Melbourne 3000

How amazing is that. I am so happy I stumbled across this little gem during my time in Melbourne and wanted to share it with you! So next time you’re feeling a bit of good grub and good heart, you know where to go.
