If, like me, you have globetrotters for friends, send them on the road with the perfect present this Christmas season…Here are my top 5 ideas:
1. Lonely Planet Travel Book // £10-20
These are the best travel books around in my opinion – from handy and informative travel guides to inspirational coffee table books, I don’t think you can ever have enough!
Lonely Planet’s The World (as featured in above image) – I LOVE my copy of this and they have just released an even more beautiful hard-back copy in purple which I love even more (is it too much to have both versions?!)
Lonely Planet’s Ultimate Travelist – this also forms part of my ever-growing travel book collection and I am obsessed with it! Really great for general travel inspiration and a great looking coffee table addition for any keen adventurer.
Lonely Planet’s Best In Travel 2018 – I don’t have this one (yet) but have been eying it up for a while and am really keen to get my hands on it to inspire and help me plan even more trips for the year ahead.
2. World Scratch Map // £20
There are now lots of versions of this but this is the particular one I have hanging on the wall in my flat. Scratch off the places you’ve been as you travel your way around the world…I feel the gold gives it slightly more sophistication and once scratched, it reveals beautiful rainbow colours underneath. I’m yet to reveal the whole rainbow of the world but I’m working on it…!
3. Air BnB Giftcard // £20+
We all know that anyone who loves to travel will have used AirBnb – the fantastic ‘home away from home’ accommodation option to make any trip that bit more authentic and unique. I’ve only recently discovered that they do these giftcards, but how great is this idea! For anyone that loves to travel, you really can’t go wrong with one of these. And it doesn’t have to break the bank…choose the exact amount you load onto the depending who it’s for or how generous you are feeling (!)…Quick, easy and thoughtfully perfect.
4. Pandora Globe Charm // £30
I’ve had this particular one myself for years and it’s a gorgeous little gift for any girl globetrotter in your life!
5. Personalised Travel Journal // £14.99
Not On The High Street is where I found this little gem of a present idea – a personalised travel journal featuring a classic and authentic old fashioned brown paper travel journal style with your choice of text plus a map icon on the front cover (choice of black or gold print – I personally quite like the black). Perfect for those about to head off on an adventure of a lifetime!
I hope these ideas have inspired you this holiday season…Happy shopping and have a very merry Christmas wherever in the world you are!
