From travelling down the Kinabatangan River in Sabah, Borneo (one of only two places in the world where you can find these species of monkey: Bornean Orangutan, the Proboscis Monkey, Macaques, Maroon Langur and Bornean Gibbon) to adopting a baby orangutan at the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary to the beautiful untouched beaches of Kota Kinabalu in the Northwest, here is my adventure… Advertisements
“There’s something really special about going on a road trip, isn’t there? It screams adventure, camaraderie, great tunes, cosiness and freedom – and if you’re doing it abroad; then probably sunshine, having the windows down and the open road in front of you… some would say, it makes the best kind of holiday”
Florence As it was coming to the end of my year abroad and I had spent the entire time in France and Spain, I decided to go and brush up on my Italian (the third language of my degree) and booked myself onto a 4 week intensive language course in Florence! I couldn’t wait to spend some time in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
So my parents have just got back from the most amazing holiday in the Maldives. The hotel just looks incredible and unreal! I am extremely jealous and it’s definitely on my bucket list for the future. But the reason I’m writing this blog post is because on the way out they did a 3 night stopover in Dubai and hearing their stories and seeing their pictures reminded me of the many amazing times we spent in the Middle East on family holidays.
Bordeaux is one of my all-time favourite cities and I couldn’t help but fall in love with it!…Although this is slightly biased as it was my hometown for around 4 months during my year abroad.
As part of my Year Abroad programme at uni (Modern Foreign Language studies), I spent half a year living in France!
Siem Reap In comparison to Thailand and Vietnam and a few other countries in Southeast Asia, Cambodia is tiny! A visit to Cambodia is not complete without seeing the jewel of its kingdom, Angkor Wat.
